Getting comfortable (with audio lizards)
Friday the 13th started with an 8:30AM meeting. Our main objective this time was to divide up the roles of the team and think of our approach to this whole project. After fiddling around some, we all answered a poll about what we would like to be working on with this game. We had talked about roles and responsibilities earlier, but now we had our official division of duties.
Aleksis and Janne are to take up the roles of our audio programmers, Janne will also work with Jaakko on the software side of things.
For programming the multiplayer portion of the game, we have Jaakko, Martti ja Filipe holding up the fort.
Julius, Anna and Susanna (that's me!) make up our art team, where Julius will mainly be responsible for the 3D modelling and I will be managing the art direction as a whole.
Last but not least we have Rami and Teo, who will be our marketing people and there we have it! Our team has gotten some legs under us and now we will begin charging forward.
After assigning roles we continued on discussing the problems that we are facing right now. It's still November, so we have the time to carefully plan out our work and do proper ground work. So we decided that each member would begin to do some research on our specific topics: what needs to be taken into account, what problems could we be facing, and how would these problems be solved?
Luckily, our team seems to be quite motivated in working on this project. We all need to work together for a common goal, and this has definitely been a good start!
